These Netflix documentaries have given me a new perspective on life. They bring the most current, but also the most important problems of the moment to the attention. Namely, climate change.

We can no longer ignore it. Forest fires are spreading faster than ever. The coral in the sea is also dying and there are more and more floods. This is largely due to global warming. There is also a lot of pollution worldwide.

“The Game Changers” is currently extremely popular. Everyone is talking about this documentary. They show that a “plant based” diet can provide top athletes with enough protein, strength and a healthy body. This was certainly a motivating documentary about plant based nutrition for me. In addition, it raises one of the biggest climate problems. Namely; Animal agriculture. That is why this Netflix documentary is 1 for me.

2. Minimalism – A Documentary About The Important Things

“Minimalism – A Documentary About The Important Things” has really changed my life and mindset. This Netflix documentary shows that in the society we now live in, we often offer too much value to “stuff”, and that less stuff often brings more happiness. And how you can create a happier and more valuable life with fewer things. Buying stuff is harmful to the environment, especially when too many superfluous items are consumed. That is why it is number 2.

3. A Plastic Ocean

The documentary “A plastic ocean” shows how much plastic pollution there is in the sea and how harmful this is for wildlife and nature. The ocean is very important. Also for humanity. Certainly as a surfer, I had to place it in the top 3. Highly recommended!

4. What The Health

“What The Health” shows how harmful animal products are for human health and how this is the cause of many diseases. All misconceptions and secrets about meat consumption in America are also revealed. An important topic. Well worth it!

5. Before The Flood

In “Before The Flood” Leonardo DiCaprio travels the world to see the consequences of climate change with his own eyes. Is there a solution for this problem? He discusses climate change and brings the issues to the attention of politicians. I have not yet seen this documentary myself. I will definitely look for him before 2020!

6. Cowspiracy

Cowspiracy: is a documentary in which the impact of animal agriculture on the environment is investigated. They also investigate how the policy of environmental organizations in this area. Cowspiracy addresses various environmental issues, including global warming. They show that animal farming is the biggest cause of environmental destruction. This, of course, is also a super important topic. Highly recommended!

The Netflix Documentary Series “BROKEN” reveals the truth behind the consumer price of counterfeit cosmetics, plastics, and furniture. This is often at the expense of public health and consumer safety.

The Netflix documentary “Mission Blue” tells the story of oceanographer Sylvia Earle. Her mission is to explore the ecological problems and the unpleasant condition of the world’s oceans while traveling around the world. In addition, it tries to draw attention to these problems. Her story is super inspiring. This documentary is also recommended!
