5 Easy, Natural Tea Recipes for Winter
For me, one of the best ways to stay warm and healthy in winter is a nice cup of hot tea! I prefer to make them myself to use as little waste as possible, and because they are very natural! That’s why I share 5 easy, natural tea recipes for the winter!
These winter tea recipes are easy and quick to make. Moreover, super healthy! An immune booster π These recipes are also anti-inflammatory, should you feel a flu coming up in these cold days.
With all recipes you can vary with quantities and adjust how you like them.
1. Ginger, Cinnamon and Orange
Prepare a pan with water. Add about 3 slices of fresh ginger (depending on how sharp you want the drink to be), a cinnamon stick (or a teaspoon of cinnamon powder), and the zest of about a quarter of an orange. You can also add the juice of the orange for extra taste and sweetness!
Bring the whole to the boil for about 10 minutes, to bring out the flavors as much as possible.
When the 10 minutes are up, you can pour the mixture through a strainer into your favorite mug or teapot, and enjoy!
- Ginger is anti-inflammatory, strengthens the immune system and warms you up from the inside!
- Cinnamon is anti-inflammatory and contains many antioxidants
- Orange strengthens the immune system and ensures healthy skin
2. Rosemary, red pepper & lemon
Prepare a pan with water. Add a sprig of fresh rosemary, half a red pepper (without seeds), and the juice of a whole lemon and ΒΌ lemon zest.
Bring the mixture to the boil for about 10 minutes and pour it into your mug or teapot through a strainer to remove all loose pieces.
Time to enjoy!

- You heat up red pepper from the inside and also have an anti-inflammatory effect!
- Lemon cleanses your body of toxins and gives you energy.
3. Turmeric & Black pepper
By now you know the drill π Prepare a pan with water. Add 3 slices of fresh turmeric (or a teaspoon of turmeric powder) and a teaspoon of black peppercorns. Bring it to the boil for 10 minutes and pour it through a strainer into your mug or teapot.
- Turmeric works anti-inflammatory, detoxifying and is a natural painkiller
- Black pepper helps with good digestion and helps against flu as a kind of light antibiotic.
4. Pine Tea
For an optimal winter flavor you can make fresh pine tea. Unfortunately, you cannot find this ingredient in the store, but you can find it during a walk in the woods!
Cut off a number of pine branches from a pine tree (always with love and respect for the trees of course π and save them.
Once at home you prepare a pan with water and add the pine branches. Don’t forget to rinse them! Let the water and pine boil for about 20 minutes for optimum taste.
Pour the mixture into a teapot or mug through a strainer and you’re ready to go!

5. HeiΓe Citrone
When I worked as a ski instructor in the mountains, this was one of my favorite drinks to warm up again after being out in the cold all day. It probably speaks for itself, but super healthy and easy!
Bring water to the boil, meanwhile squeeze the juice of a whole lemon and pour into a mug. Add the boiling water and β¦ well .. actually it is π Easy!
Add a natural sugar substitute such as honey or maple syrup to all recipes to make it a little sweeter.
- Maple syrup is also a natural anti-inflammatory and good for digestion!
- Honey works as a cough medicine, calms the nerves and gives an energy boost.
